Bright orange shirts make bold statement

ND students support AllianceND campaign for greater acceptance

The "Gay? Fine by Me" tee shirt campaign is two and a half years old, and Notre Dame is no longer No. 1 in the Princeton Review's "Alternative Lifestyles Not an Alternative" category. The Student Union Board (SUB) sponsored a ticket lottery last week and sold 346 game tickets for $43 each to students whose numbers were drawn.

Alumna emphasizes education

Saint Mary's students were given a perspective on education Thursday by '81 alumna Dr. Mary Erdmans in her talk "Nuns and Moms: The Role of Religion and Motherhood in the Life Choices of White Working Class Women." Erdmans, who earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology at Northwestern University, explored Thailand as a member of the Peace Corps before becoming a professor at Central Connecticut State University.
