With 20 women's choirs from Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, the High School Women's Choir Festival held at Saint Mary's College promotes female chorus groups, Nancy Menk, director of choral activities, said.

Usborne Books, a supplier of educational materials, and the Learning Tree, a resource education center that benefits Saint Mary's students and faculty as well as teachers and parents in the Michiana community, co-sponsored a book fair, which began Tuesday at the College.

St. Joseph County Police will conduct an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a Notre Dame student at an on-campus tailgate Saturday, according to a St. Joseph County Police press release issued Monday.

Conference to focus on religion

In the early 20th century, the idea that religion was "on its way out" became predominant, according to Notre Dame Professor Patrick Mason. Today, Notre Dame is launching a research initiative to explore the relevance of world religions in the modern world.
