ND Women's Basketball: Championship team reunites

The players and coaches of Notre Dame's 2001 National Champion women's basketball team will return to South Bend Friday for the 2010 season home-opener to celebrate the 10-year anniversary since they became the first and only team in program history to win the national title.

The NCAA left some in South Bend disappointed Monday when the brackets for the NCAA championship were released on the heels of Connecticut's upset of No. 8/10 Notre Dame in the Big East quarterfinals.

Men's Soccer: Flying past the Eagles

The Irish won their third game in a row Saturday to extend their unbeaten streak to five games in the home-hosted Big East championships quarterfinals. The squad's 2-1 victory over Marquette moves it one step closer towards the ultimate goal of becoming the conference champion.

Men's Basketball: Hansbrough scores 30 in win

Carried by a 30-point performance from senior guard Ben Hansbrough, Notre Dame completed the second of two preseason exhibitions by beating Catholic University 72-47 Saturday in the Purcell Pavilion.

Men's Tennis: Squad split up for two matchups

Concluding the final weekend of team competition in the fall season, a split squad competed and excelled in both the Alabama Invitational and the William and Mary Invitational. Senior Stephen Havens finished the weekend undefeated in Virginia, where the Irish took on Maryland, the College of Charleston and host William and Mary.

Men's Basketball: Brey trying to figure team out

Irish coach Mike Brey is still trying to understand the nuisances of his 2010-11 squad, and Saturday's second and final exhibition game against Catholic University will give him an opportunity to do just that.

Rowing: Irish prepare for regatta

Having navigated the first half of the fall season's short slate, Notre Dame is preparing for its third regatta, which will be held Sunday against Indiana University. The event, which takes place in Indianapolis, is considered a scrimmage and will not count toward either school's record.
