Notre Dame's 0-5 record in football will not endanger the team's sellout streak of 194 games or affect pricing, Assistant Athletic Director Josh Berlo said Thursday.
Notre Dame has sold all its tickets for the team's five remaining home games this season, though re-sales do occur through the Ticket Office when customers return tickets they have purchased.
Tickets are still selling and Berlo, who runs the office, is busy taking calls from fans inquiring about football tickets, he said.
"We are sold out for all of our remaining home games and still receive calls daily from those looking for tickets," Berlo said.
The Notre Dame name and brand has not suffered from this year's losing season, Berlo said. Ticket sales and demand for tickets have remained consistent. No plans exist to reduce pricing on the tickets, he said, and they will continue being sold at their face value of $64.
But the support from some students of the team does seem to be waning. Junior Kristen Brickley said she thought the student section has become apathetic.
"I know a lot of people who have been leaving the home games early," she said.
Brickley said she has strong nostalgia for touchdown pushups from her freshman and sophomore years.
"I have not gone up for pushups once this year," she said. "I miss the excitement."
Berlo said the Ticket Office continues to have people signing up for the Season Ticket Lottery and he does not anticipate any decline in interest in the coming years.
"We sincerely appreciate the ardent support of the Notre Dame fans," Berlo said.
