Young the Giant to headline spring SUB concert with Sure Sure opening

Rock band Young the Giant will perform in the Stepan Center on Notre Dame’s campus Feb. 22 for the spring SUB concert, the Student Union Board (SUB) announced Wednesday in an email to the student body.

Young the Giant, famous for hit songs including “Cough Syrup” and “My Body,” is currently touring with Sure Sure to promote its latest album, Mirror Master. Sure Sure, an “up-and-coming alternative band,” will open the show at 8 p.m., the email said.

Tickets are free, but required to attend the concert. According to the email, these tickets will be available at the LaFortune Box Office beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. and will be on sale during the box office’s operating hours of 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Students may get one ticket per Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s or Holy Cross student ID, but they will be limited to two student IDs per person when picking up tickets. The email said any unclaimed tickets will be available for pickup at the Stepan Box Office instead of the LaFortune Box Office on the day of the concert.

Doors will open for the concert at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22.
