A man was shot in the leg after an attempted robbery and aggravated assault early Monday morning on the 900 block of East Corby Avenue, the Notre Dame Police Department (NDPD) said in an email to the community.
The victim was walking near Notre Dame Avenue when a male suspect approached him, demanded his belongings and shot him in the leg.
NDPD and the South Bend Police Department (SBPD) have been corresponding about this occurrence, the email said. SBPD urges anyone who has information regarding their incident to contact them.
