Holy Cross declares distanced learning until end of semester
A Notre Dame student previously studying abroad in London tested positive for COVID-19, Paul Browne, vice president for public affairs and communications, said in an email Wednesday.
Marie Lynn Miranda will serve as the fifth provost of Notre Dame, University President Fr. John Jenkins announced in an email to the campus community Tuesday.
Saint Mary’s students will no longer be provided the option to remain in their residence halls until at least April 13, interim President Nancy Nekvasil announced in email Friday. Junior and senior nursing students in clinicals, senior student teachers, international students and a select group of Residence Assistants, Ministry Assistants and IT student employees are excluded from this change.
Saint Mary’s will extend spring break until March 20, providing faculty time to prepare online courses, the College announced in an email Wednesday. All in-person classes are suspended from March 23 to at least April 13, and students will be provided with online coursework.
In light of the University suspending in-person classes until April 13, Notre Dame will remain open and adjustments to student life and offices will be made, Erin Hoffmann Harding, vice president for student affairs, said in a follow-up email.
Notre Dame will suspend all in-person classes beginning March 23 through at least April 13, the University announced in a school-wide email Wednesday. All courses will be replaced with “virtual instruction and other alternative learning options,” the email said.
