Baking with Brenna

·

My family doesn't pass down many things, but this week's recipe is one of them. In my home, since I'm from the South, we just call them "Peanut Butter Balls." However, since coming to Notre Dame, I've been informed in the Midwest, they're called "Buckeyes." Whatever you call them, there's no going wrong with peanut butter and chocolate. They're basically homemade Reese's -  and what could be wrong with that?

Love Thy Denim

·

"You can't live your life in the same pair of jeans that feel like you're wearing pajamas."

Guy Pearce Rescues Prisoners, A Film

·

Guy Pearce's "Lockout" isn't a particularly good movie. The plot is a little confusing, with the kind of last-minute plot twist that manages to pull off the post-"Sixth Sense" Shyamalan paradox of the audience absolutely not seeing it coming, but also totally and completely not caring.

The Observer

Tosh.0 #atthemorris

·

As the lights dimmed in the Morris Performing Arts Center this Wednesday, the audience didn't hear the usual announcement to turn off and stow away their cell phones.

The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC), the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and the Institute for Educational Initiatives collaborated to bring the first-ever Chilean film festival to Notre Dame this week.

Sights and Sounds of Coachella 2012

·

The annual Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif. is the place to be for music and fashion enthusiasts alike. This year, the event has been extended from the usual three days of parties and music to two consecutive three-day weekends.

The Observer

TV Rewind

·

President Obama called it his favorite television show. Many have called it the greatest television show of all time. Grantland, Bill Simmon's entertainment-sports blog, named one its central characters as the greatest in television history.

The Observer

Style With Sean

·

Since 2008, Notre Dame students have been going bald to support childhood cancer research by participating in The Bald and the Beautiful, or TBAB. Men brave enough to channel their inner Bruce Willis and a few brave, possibly even heroic, women have gone bald to raise funds for this amazing event. This year, I will be one of those men.

Baking With Brenna

·

Some people are very good at remembering special events. I am not one of them. My friends are lucky if I remember their birthday during the same calendar month, let alone the correct day.

The Observer

Worst Week Ever

·

A visit to speak about trade in the Western Hemisphere? Definitely presidential. A trip to hang out with Colombian prostitutes? Not so much.
