Worst Week Ever

·

Republicans and mommies around the world gasped in united offense. M.R.S.-degree candidates fainted in horror. The Democratic National Committee sprinted into action. Mama Obama hit her Twitter feed hard.

Fashion By Felicia

·

This fashionista first laid stylish eyes on senior BayoOmoyeni at a house party last fall. In a simple ensemble of jeans, t-shirt and leather jacket, he stood head and shoulders above the crowd. While a conversation sparked by said leather jacket evolved into larger musings on greater fashion trends, including Mr. Omoyeni's Nigerian fashion origins, it became clear that this was a fashion summit led by Fashion Ambassador Mr. Omoyeni. Of course, the logical next step was a column. Without further fashion ado, read on as Mr. Omoyeni lets us in on the Nigerian fashion aesthetic.

Lollapalooza 2012

·

Each year for the past 20 years, Lollapalooza has drawn in hundreds of music fans from across the country. This year should be no different. Lollapalooza takes place each year during the first weekend in August at Chicago's Grant Park. Lollapalooza (meaning "something wonderful" and "giant, swirly lollipop") is the three-day music brainchild of Perry Farrell, lead singer of alternative band Jane's Addiction. Though it is only April, Lollapalooza's newly released lineup has fans making plans and plotting out the must-see shows of the summer.

Who's Next in Hollywood?

·

Spring has sprung, and with it, a new batch of chicks is hatching. No, not the avian kind, but of the cinematic variety. The Hollywood box office is starting to heat up, and it isn't just thanks to blockbusters like the recently released "The Hunger Games" or the heavily anticipated summer slate of films. No, there is something to be said for the ladies of many of these movies ¾ they are young, gorgeous and most important, vying to be Hollywood's next "It-Girl."

Salmon Fishing Unique and Successful

·

While a British romance celebrating the sport of fly-fishing in a dry desert Middle Eastern climate may seem preposterous, "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" has everything a good dramedy should, from religious and political discussion, to international affairs, to a preponderance of salmon.

Baking with Brenna

·

I learned two lessons this week. The first: never start baking until you're 100 percent certain you have all of the ingredients that you need. The second: when life gives you copious amounts of peanut butter, create a new recipe.

BFA + MFA Theses on Display at the Snite

·

As a proud Double Domer, I have had the opportunity to attend and participate in a wide variety of campus performances and competitions, from the Keenan Revue and Glee Club concerts to the Holy Half Marathon and the Collegiate Jazz Festival. Time and again, the talent and originality of my fellow students astounds me. This is especially true at the annual exhibition of BFA and MFA candidates' theses at the Snite Museum of Art, one of only two events that I have not missed once over the past five years.

Style with Sean

·

Despite my usual focus on clothes, this week I have decided to focus on something just as important in style: grooming. More specifically, the grooming of your chest hair.

What to do in South Bend during Easter Break

·

Easter weekend at Notre Dame doesn't have to be a boring four days of video games and TV show marathons in your room. Get out of the dorm and experience what campus and the surrounding area have to offer.

Titanic 3D': Why You Shouldn't See It

·

Today, James Cameron exposes his latest get-rich-quick scheme to the world - "Titanic 3D." This new re-release of his 1997 cash cow starring Billy Zane is just another in a line of crafty moves by the Hollywood moneymaking machine to squeeze a few more dollars out of the pockets of its adoring audiences.

When Anthony Thomas talks about the origins of KNO Clothing, the company he helped co-found, his story starts on the streets of New York. He tells the story of a man one of his colleagues met on the street. He held an MBA degree and possessed a stellar education, but this man had few close connections. In the recent past, he had undergone an accident that left him in a coma. Despite his higher education, when he awoke, he was without a support network. He was homeless.

Baking with Brenna

·

I spend holidays with my boyfriend's family and I feel the need to make a peace offering or prove that I can cook whenever I see his mother, a plight that most significant others can empathize with. This Easter, I'm coming armed with a secret weapon: baked goods. With a recipe that's easy and delicious, "Toffee-Like Bars" are sure to please everyone from picky in-law-types to the confection connoisseurs we call five year old cousins.

As a young girl, I had a very great obsession (well to tell the whole fashion truth, I had many, but I'm writing a column, not a memoir so I'll err on the side of brevity for your sake, dear reader).
