On Monday evening, Ashish Sharma of the department of civil and environmental engineering addressed climate change across the world and in America during a lecture entitled “Global Warming and Social Justice: Fighting for Vulnerable Chicago Neighborhoods” to kick off Notre Dame Energy Week.

Cake service provides baked goods to campus community
Since 1987, Notre Dame has been home to a student-delivered cake service. Originally started in a dorm room, the cake service is now housed in LaFortune Student Center and overseen by director Kim Miller. It coordinates the daily deliveries of customized cakes, various pastries and balloons to any Notre Dame student’s dorm room from a local South Bend pastry shop, junior Leigh Harden said.
Senate discusses goals for the year
The student senate met Monday to discuss goals and possible projects in committee groups at their weekly meeting in Duncan Student Center.
