Walsh Rector wins on TV game show

Walsh Hall rector Annie Selak, decked out in a cupcake costume, managed to be selected from the audience as a contestant on the CBS game show "Let's Make a Deal" during a January taping. Selak won a prize package valued at more than $6,000 in an episode that aired Wednesday.

Mary Hamann, director of communications for the Mendoza College of Business, died suddenly Friday, April 22, while in Paraguay, according to a University press release Tuesday.

Engineering students take flight

A team of Notre Dame engineering students put months of hard work into flight this weekend when they brought their remote-controlled airplane to the 2011 Design/Build/Fly competition in Tucson, Ariz and finished in 28th place.
