(Re: Step it up, please) How about tone it down?
Ah, the first day of school. I started the day knowing that my sixth semester of college was one of the eight most important semesters of my undergraduate career. It was the day that I would finally reconnect with those who decided to leave the country rather than continue to enjoy the booming metropolis that is South Bend, Indiana. With this in mind, I gladly woke up for my alarm set for 20 minutes before my class started, threw on a pair of leggings, a freshly unfolded T-shirt, running shoes, topped off with a messy bun and just made it to class with enough time to stop by the ABP cart for a muffin. Life was good.
Step up two: the pleats
We write today in support of Soren Hansen’s Jan. 22 column, “Step it up, please.” We, too, bemoan and lament the disintegrating expectations toward dress in our university’s classrooms. Denim? Are you serious? The attire of construction workers and hooligans has no place in an intellectual setting like DeBartolo Hall.
What does a human life mean to you?
I was excited to read that at least 1,000 members and students of the Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross community went to Washington, D.C. for the 2018 March for Life. To my disappointment, I later read a Viewpoint opposing the March for Life.
The dorm system's inequalities
Like most traumatic memories, I remember it like it was yesterday.
