Recruiting: Irish lose linebacker Perkins

While Notre Dame continues to pursue talented recruits from all over the country, the Irish lost their 2012 signee closest to home this week when South Bend linebacker David Perkins re-opened his recruitment. Though losing Perkins is a setback to the class Irish coach Brian Kelly continues to craft, Irish recruiting expert Mike Frank said the writing has been on the wall for some time.

ND Women's Tennis: Seniors advance in New York

The Irish ended the first day of the ITA National Indoor Championships with mixed results, as senior doubles partners Kristy Frilling and Shannon Mathews moved on to the semifinal round before Frilling was eliminated from the singles main draw in the round of 32.

Men's Soccer: After loss to Nova, Clark hopes for at-large bid

Villanova only needed one goal to advance to the second round of the Big East tournament in its 1-0 shutout against Notre Dame at Alumni Stadium on Thursday. The Irish will run a full week of practice and hope for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, which begins Nov. 17.

Irish special teams play improves after rough start

The last time Notre Dame took to the road, a 38-10 victory at Purdue, the Irish lost three yards on two punt returns, the front line allowed a field goal to be blocked and senior kicker David Ruffershanked a field goal attempt.
