With an NCAA Division I-record unbeaten streak of 73 consecutive games against Big East opponents, Irish coach Randy Waldrum has figured out what it takes to build up one of the strongest programs in the nation. However, he admits he still hasn't mastered one of the final pieces to the puzzle — how to attract more students to the games.

Over a decade ago, a father took his twin daughters out on a court and started feeding them tennis balls. At five years old, neither girl could hit a single one, but the dad never gave up. Now, both of these girls are college athletes on full tennis scholarships, and one of them calls Notre Dame home.

Men's Golf: Irish tied for first after day one at Firestone

The Irish started off their third tournament of the year with a bang, finishing the first two rounds of the Firestone Invitational in a tie for first place with Indiana University. Both teams finished with a 12-under-par 564 and have distanced themselves from the field.

No. 5 Notre Dame made sure its senior class would wrap up its regular season home careers with a Garden State sweep this weekend over Seton Hall and Rutgers.

ND Women's Golf: Irish finish fifth of 14 in Knoxville

This weekend may not have brought a first-place finish for the Irish, but it certainly brought success nonetheless. The team traveled to Knoxville, Tenn. for the Mercedes-Benz Championship at the Holston Hills Country Club, where they finished fifth of 14 teams.

ND Women's Rowing: Season opens at Head of the Rock Regatta

Notre Dame opened the 2010-11 season yesterday in Rockford, Ill., with the Head of the Rock Regatta. Featuring six sets of pair-boats, two varsity four-boats, two novice eight-boats and four varsity eight-boats, the Irish finished in third place in the team standings, just behind Big 10 competitors Wisconsin and Minnesota.
