Baseball: Irish prepare for tough week in Baton Rouge

For most Notre Dame students, spring break is a time to head for warmer weather to rest and recharge. The Irish will indeed be heading south for break, but with nine tough games scheduled in as many days, it might not be a vacation.

Hockey: Hostile takeover

The next chapter in a growing postseason rivalry between No. 17 Notre Dame and No. 4 Michigan will be written this weekend as the Irish travel to hostile Yost Arena to take on the Wolverines in the second round of the CCHA tournament.

SMC Golf: Belles reunite for Spring Kick-off

After a fall season that left Saint Mary's with a shortage of golfers due to study abroad opportunities, a reunited and rejuvenated Belles team will start its spring golf season in Phoenix, Ariz., next weekend.

SMC Tennis: Belles get sweep in home opener

Starting its home campaign with a strong showing, Saint Mary's dominated Indiana Tech in a 9-0 victory. The Belles (2-1) won in five straight sets and gained a forfeit over the Warriors (0-4) in their single matches. They took doubles 8-1, 8-1 and earned another forfeit. The Warriors only fielded a five-person roster, giving the Belles an early, uncontested 2-0 lead.

ND Women's Basketball: Bring on UConn

Triggered by a 10-2 run in the contest's opening minutes, No. 3 Notre Dame walloped No. 25 West Virginia 73-45 in the semifinals of the Big East tournament Monday night to advance to its second straight tournament title game. After falling to the Mountaineers in their only home loss of the season Feb. 12, the Irish have now beaten every team in the conference at least once.

Men's Lacrosse: Randall leads Irish defense

Senior captain Kevin Randall has anchored Notre Dame's defensive corps this season, and in doing so has helped the Irish find success. Randall and the Irish defense have allowed only 12 goals through three games on the young season.
