Sophomore Paul McNamara admits that entering the fall of 2009 as the lone member of Notre Dame's recruiting class was daunting. However, he said this early obstacle may have contributed to his solid performance so far this season.

ND Women's Golf: Squad impresses in the classroom and on the links

The women's golf team enjoyed success on the course this past fall, compiling a record of 53-11-0 and ending the season with a No. 17 ranking. But the squad also impressed in the classroom, finishing the fall semester with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.534, the highest of any Notre Dame varsity team.

ND Women's Basketball: ND falls to Blue Demons

CHICAGO — With just over a minute to play in the first half of Notre Dame's final regular-season game, senior guard Brittany Mallory sprinted the length of the court after a fast-breaking DePaul guard, diving to knock the ball from her hands and out of bounds before she could make a shot.

In his last home game wearing a Notre Dame uniform, senior guard Ben Hansbrough went out with a bang, and then another one, and another one, and another one, until he had tallied 30 points on 7-of-10 shooting from behind the arc.

ND Women's Basketball: Irish cruise on Senior Day

The No. 8 Irish entered Saturday's game against Cincinnati with nervous excitement and a bit of emotion, but an explosive 21-0 run to start the second half gave Notre Dame a 66-48 win on Senior Day, in forward Becca Bruszewski's final game at Purcell Pavilion.

Men's Tennis: Irish go 1-2 over weekend

In one of the oldest and most competitive annual tournaments in the nation, the Irish were able to cruise to victory Friday before dropping their matches on Saturday and Sunday.
