Modern Notre Dame rector position differs from historical trends

The university has introduced new unofficial programs to allow rectors who marry to bring their significant other into the dorm within the last decade. On multiple occasions, a male has served as the acting rector of a women's residence hall. Despite steady growth in the number of dorms on campus, the average number of new rectors and the duration for which rectors stay, is less steady.
