Women's Swimming and Diving: Irish take on undefeated Tigers

The Irish women hit the pool for the third weekend in a row as they close out their home schedule at the Rolf's Aquatic Center in the annual Shamrock Invitational beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. They host Towson, an undefeated squad from the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), in the two-day dual meet.

Men's Swimming: Senior Bass garners Big East honors

Adding to an already successful 2013 in the pool, senior Bill Bass earned another accolade Tuesday - Big East Swimmer of the Week. Along with junior teammate and two-time winner Frank Dyer, Bass is the second Irish swimmer to earn the honor this season.

Men's Basketball: Irish prepare for life without Martin

When the struggling Irish take the floor Saturday against South Florida, they will do so without their captain and most experienced player. Notre Dame coach Mike Brey announced in his weekly teleconference Wednesday that the Irish would shut down graduate student forward Scott Martin for an indefinite period of time.

Chris Giesting and Patrick Feeney haven't always been roommates. In fact, the two haven't even always been friends. On the contrary, they grew up competing against each other at rival high schools in central Indiana just over an hour apart.

ND Women's Basketball: Declawed

After trailing by three points in the first half, No. 2 Notre Dame allowed only 18 points in the second half to pull away in a 73-47 road victory against Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. Junior guard Kayla McBride led all scorers with 19 points.

Men's Tennis: Wildcats snatch victory

No. 30 Notre Dame faced its toughest competition up to this point in the season Tuesday night when it played No. 37 Northwestern. The undefeated Wildcats (5-0) beat the Irish 4-3 in a close match. The loss marked the first for the Irish (2-1) in dual meet play, following two 7-0 sweeps Saturday against Marquette and Western Illinois.

ND Women's Tennis: Squad holds off late Illini surge

It took a late win from senior ChrissieMcGaffigan on an opposing court, but the Irish made it through their first weekend of dual play undefeated, sweeping Bowling Green 7-0 at home Friday and beating Illinois 4-3 on Sunday.

Hockey: Irish drop pair of games at home

In a weekend marked as an opportunity to return to form, Notre Dame fell further into its slump, losing a 5-4 heartbreaker Friday followed by a 2-1 defeat Saturday at the hands of Alaska.
