Fencing: Irish earn top-three finishes in New York

Notre Dame sent a small group of fencers to New York on Sunday for the United States Collegiate Squad Championship at NYU and earned top-three finishes from all three squads. A No. 1 result from the men's foil team, consisting of seniors EnzoCastellani and Nicholas Crebs and junior Grant Hodges, highlighted the trip.

ND Women's Basketball: Squad tops USF, clinches share of title

When Irish senior guard Natalie Novosel made a 3-point shot on the first play of Notre Dame's 80-68 win over USF on Saturday, it was clear she was on her offensive game. 29 points and 39:53 later, Novosel finished with a career-high 32 points, very fitting for senior night, and led the Irish to clinching not only a share of Big East regular season title, but also the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament.

Gans: Trade deadline comes with risks and rewards (Feb. 24)

Next Monday marks one of the most exciting days of the NHL season. It is one of a handful of days throughout the whole year where fans of both Stanley Cup contenders and cellar-dwellers alike have something to look forward to. I am of course talking about the trade deadline.

As the postseason rapidly approaches, the Irish are preparing to defend their national championship. This weekend, Notre Dame will travel to New York, N.Y. to compete in the Squad Championships hosted by NYU. The event will give the Irish an opportunity to prove themselves against some of the best fencers in the country.

Men's Basketball: Going to the Garden

Following a 71-44 rout of West Virginia on Wednesday, the No. 18 Irish can clinch a coveted double-bye in the Big East tournament with a win against St. John's. They can do it on the same court where they hope to apply it: Madison Square Garden.
