ND Women's Diving: Sophomore diver faces top eight

Sophomore diver Jenny Chiang was unsure of what to expect as she traveled the USA Diving Winter Nationals competition Friday. Although the reigning Big East 3-meter champion has compiled an impressive résumé as a member of the Irish diving squad, this marked her first time competing in a USA diving event since coming to Notre Dame.

Fencing: Irish seek to maintain top rankings at Northwestern

As the top-ranked team in the country, it goes without saying that expectations for the Irish are sky-high. Coach Janusz Bednarski wouldn't have it any other way. Both the men's and women's fencing teams head into the Northwestern duals this weekend as the best in the land, and both are determined to keep it that way.

Kelly hopes recruits improve 'D'

Irish coach Brian Kelly said he and his coaching staff went into the recruiting season with a plan — improve on the defensive line. By adding six players listed at that position, including two ranked in the top-5 defensive linemen by most experts, Notre Dame followed through on that plan.
